Keeping Busy

Darby update-
Darby said DaDa on Saturday, and she waived on Monday! She is trying to crawl but can only muster up a few really big rocks and then she face plants into the floor. We went for her 6 month check up today and she is 15lb 13oz and 26in long. We got a referral to the eye surgeon, and we will hopefully have surgery to clear her tear ducts soon. Please keep her in your prayers.

Well, a lot has gone on in the past couple of weeks. My good friend Lis was in town two weeks ago and she brought over her sweet 8 month old little girl named Ella. Ella and Darby are exactly 2 months apart, and it was so much fun to see them interact together. Here are a few pictures.

That weekend we took our youth group to OKC on a mystery trip to White Water. I say we, but Jason went with the kids while I took Darby to meet Grando, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Terry, and Leta for the first time. There were some health issues going on with a few of Jason's family members when Darby was born so none of them had met her until then. Jason has such a sweet family, and we really enjoyed our time with them. Here are some pictures of that.

We had a wedding, 3 b-day parties, and bachelorette party last weekend so we are so exhausted. I feel very overwhelmed with life being so hectic. I truly desire to spend quality time with Darby and Jason, but between work, the youth group, family stuff, and life in general I fell like quality time goes out the door. In the next month or so I will get to start taking Fridays off of work, so hopefully I won't lose my sanity before then!

I guess we're doing this too

Everyone we know is blogging, so I guess we are going to convert too. I really do not think my life is interesting enough to write about, so this will mostly be filled with Darby's pictures and updates.

Darby will be 6 months old on Wednesday. It seems impossible that she is already that old. She is jabbering up a storm (I have no idea where she gets that from) and she is pretty much sitting up on her own. She is so laid back and easy going, and she very rarely cries! We are so blessed! She looks just like her daddy, and I have been told by someone that if they did not see me pregnant they would not believe that she was mine. I think that she has some of my features, but she looks like a mini me of Jason. Her hair is falling out, and it is coming in a lot lighter. She brings so much joy to every day!

We stay so busy these days that it is hard to think of what we used to fill our days with. Jason is the Youth Minister at Chaparral Hills Baptist Church now so between Darby and the youth group we are always on the go. I will try to update this pretty often, but no promises!
